Wednesday, December 29, 2010 - Oxbow Goes Mad For Science Jan. 8

Take a hands-on tour through Dr. Golly's Illustrious Lab at the Oxbow Eco-Center on Saturday, Jan. 8 from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. as the staff discovers the mad side of science - mad fun, that is.

Participants will get a chance to experience a homemade lava lamp, create their own slimy souvenir and finish things off with a spark. There is a high probability of getting messy, so please dress accordingly.

The program is appropriate for ages 5 and up.  The cost is $3 per participant and reservations are a must.  For more information, contact Jill Arnold at 772-785-5833, or send an email to arnoldj@stlucieco.org, or visit www.oxboweco.com

The Oxbow Eco-Center is a St. Lucie County Environmental Learning Center located at 5400 N.E. St. James Drive in Port St. Lucie on 225 acres along the St. Lucie River.
