Wednesday, June 30, 2010 - Housing Division Offers First-Time Home Buyer And Budget Workshops For July

As a result of being certified by U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as a Housing Counseling Agency, St. Lucie County's Housing and Community Services will be offering free monthly First-Time Homebuyer and Budgeting Workshops.

The Budgeting Workshop teaches budgeting basics such as how to prepare a spending plan. Classes will be held at the Housing and Community Services Office, 437 N. 7th Street, Fort Pierce:

  • Saturday, July 10 at 10 a.m.
  • Tuesday, July 20 at 6 p.m.

The First-Time Homebuyer Workshop helps guide participants through the home buying process. Topics include: budgeting, fair housing, the loan process, insurance, home maintenance and more. Classes will be held at the Housing and Community Services Office, 437 N. 7th Street, Fort Pierce:

  • Wednesday, July 28 from 6 - 9 p.m.
  • Thursday, July 29 from 6 - 9 p.m.
