The Fort Pierce Branch Library announces its ''Friday Matinee'' lineup for July. Held every Friday, the library presents a free film, starting at 2 p.m.- July 2 - "Pushover" (1954) featuring Fred MacMurray and Kim Novack. Running time: 88 minutes
- July 9 - "Lost in Space" (1998) featuring Gary Oldman, William Hurt, Matt LeBlanc and Heather Graham. Running time: 130 minutes
- July 16 - "Quigley Down Under" (1990) featuring Tom Selleck. Running time: 119 minutes
- July 23 - "K-Pax" (2001) featuring Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges. Running time: 120 minutes
- July 30 – “On the Beach” (1959) featuring Gregory Peck, Ava Gardner, Fred Astaire and Anthony Perkins. Running time: 134 minutes
A permission slip signed by a parent/guardian or picture ID is required for all children under 14 to attend the library's Friday Matinee unless the parent is attending the movie with the child.
