Friday, May 21, 2010 - Two More County Pools Set To Open For Summer

Two more St. Lucie County pools are set to open for the summer season.

The Open Space Pool at Ilous Ellis Park, located at 1311 Avenue M, Fort Pierce, will temporarily open Saturday, May 29 - Monday, May 31 for Memorial Day weekend from 1 - 5 p.m.  Additionally, the pool will be open Saturday, June 5 and Saturday, June 12 from 1 - 5 p.m. The pool will officially open for the summer months starting Monday, June 14 with the following hours:

Monday and Wednesday

9 a.m. - noon Camp swim lessons
Noon - 1 p.m.  Camp swim
1 - 5 p.m. Open Swim/limited camp swim
5 - 7:30 p.m.  Aquacise and community swim lessons

Tuesday and Thursday
 9 a.m. - noon  Camp swim lessons
Noon - 1 p.m.  Camp swim
1 - 5 p.m. Open swim/limited camp swim

Saturday
10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.  Special Olympics practice
1 - 5 p.m.  Open swim

Please note times are subject to change due to weather or other events. For details, call the staff at (772) 462-1903. Admission into the Open Space Pool is $2 for County residents (older than 2), $3 for non-County residents and $1 for senior (55 years and older).

The Paradise Park Pool, located at 2020 Juanita Ave., Fort Pierce, will open for the summer starting Tuesday, June 15 during the following times:

Tuesday and Thursday
1-5 p.m. Open swim

Admission into Paradise Park Pool is $1 for County residents, $2 for non-County residents.
