Monday, December 7, 2009 - Adult Men's Softball Sign Up Underway

Registration is underway for the men's winter softball league at the Lawnwood Sports Complex with games starting Tuesday, Jan. 12.

Sponsored by St. Lucie County's Parks and Recreation Department, sign up for the 10-week softball session must be completed by Thursday, Jan. 7. Registration takes place Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the St. Lucie County Sports and Athletic Department, 1302 Virginia Ave., Fort Pierce. The cost to participate is $450 per team. Players must be at least 18 years or older to participate, and there is a 12-team maximum.

This United States Softball Association-sanctioned league will consist of roughly 16 games and a single-elimination playoff. Games are scheduled to be played Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. at the Lawnwood softball fields, 1302 Virginia Ave., Fort Pierce.
