Tuesday, December 30, 2008 - Libaries Host January Nature Talks with Capt. Chop

The St. Lucie County Library System announces the topics and dates for the Interactive Nature Series with Captain and Audubon Warden Chop Legé for January.

Sponsored by the Marine Resources Council and the St. Lucie County Mosquito Control District, these monthly programs are free and open to everyone.

  • Thursday, Jan. 8 at 3 p.m. at the Fort Pierce Branch Library: ''Birds, Butterflies and Bobcats.''
  • Friday, Jan. 9 at 1 p.m.: ''Walk and Talk'' tour at Bear Point Sanctuary, 2601 S. Ocean Drive, Fort Pierce. Participants will need to meet the captain at the gates of the park, located on the west side of A1A on South Hutchinson Island.
  • Wednesday, Jan. 14 at 1 p.m. at the Morningside Branch Library: ''Birds, Butterflies and Bobcats.''
  • Friday, Jan. 16 at 1:30 p.m.: ''Walk and Talk'' tour at Bear Point Sanctuary, 2601 S. Ocean Drive, Fort Pierce. Participants will need to meet the captain at the gates of the park, located on the west side of A1A on South Hutchinson Island.
  • Thursday, Jan. 22 at 3 p.m. at the Fort Pierce Branch Library: ''Marshes, Estuaries and Impoundments.''
  • Friday, Jan. 23 at 1 p.m.: ''Walk and Talk'' tour at Vitolo Family Park, 3701 S. Ocean Drive, Fort Pierce. Participants will need to meet the captain at the gates of the park, located on the west side of A1A on South Hutchinson Island.
