Tuesday, June 5, 2012 - The Siphonaters Slip Into The Oxbow's Nature For Families June 9

Imagine a world where you can eat, move, sing and breathe from the same body part. In the world of the mollusks, animals such as oysters, apple snails and squid depend on their long tube in their day-to-day lives.

Join the Oxbow Eco-Center on Saturday, June 9 at 10:30 a.m. to experience a special Nature for Families program. Participants will get to experiment using a siphon to become one of these amazing animals.

Nature for Families is appropriate for ages 5 and up and is designed to involve parents and children in the discovery of nature. The cost for this program is $4 per participant. Reservations are a must.
