Workshop On Proposed Irrigation/Fertilizer Ordinances Thursday

The University of Florida / IFAS - St. Lucie County Cooperative Extension is inviting you to participate in a workshop titled ''Nutrient Management in the Urban Environment." on Thursday, March11 from 6-8 p.m. at UF/IFAS Indian River REC, Rm 100, 2199 S. Rock Road. This workshop will review two proposed County ordinances, both addressing State Senate Bill 494, passed in 2009.  One ordinance addresses residential irrigation moisture sensing devices and their maintenance; the other addresses proposed new restrictions on fertilizer application and an educational requirement for urban fertilizer applicators.
